Well, hi.
My name is Runi. It is chrysanthemum in Bahasa Indonesia. My mother wanted to give me the flower name the way it is, but my grandmother thought it’s a bit masculine for a girl. Funny how the name of a flower can be masculine. I'd love to have chrysanthemum bush on my front yard one day.
I was born in one afternoon in September. As mom recalled, it wasn't raining and neither was it particularly hot. I love tons of things. I love cats or any animals of the feline family. I read books, mostly fiction, but I'd grab the ones that I find interesting instead anything from the top chart list. You'll find me reading books released in the 90s and still raving so much about it. I love discovering new music. I take pictures, and find them pretty therapeutic. I love to watch fish in a pond, swimming rather calmly. I’m pretty convinced that I used to be a fish in the previous life. I can talk about Harry Potter for hours. I believe mermaids do exist. I love peaches, both the fruit and the color. One of my current life goals is to be financially stable, so I could donate to as many non-profits that protecting animals as possible. Why am I telling you these things? I don’t know, maybe we could find a common interest, then be friends?
I write a lot. I got my first diary when I was 10—the one that had a lock on it, of course—and never stop keeping a diary with me ever since. I write a lot in many different mediums. I used to work as a copywriter, I got one of my short stories published in a major magazine, I write on my phone notes, or just do daily journaling. However, as you may notice, none actually ever end up here. I started to blog in 2011, but most of the posts are my endless rants of life (they still are, as I’m writing this down). One thing for sure: I will try to change this platform into something worth your while to read—maybe until I marry a prince and the royal law forced me to shut this blog down.
That’s a lot for an intro. Did you read it all?
